Earthquake Nepal 2015
On Saturday, April 25, 2015 Nepal was hit by a 7.9 magnitude earth quake. Death tolls have reached the thousands, and people are scrambling to create temporary shelter in the midst of hundreds of aftershocks. Through Churches Helping Churches, you can donate specifically to help meet needs in Nepal. Because Harvest Bible Fellowship has 10 churches in Nepal, you can know that support is going directly to the people! Harvest churches will be a conduit for meeting needs in local communities.
We are meeting immediate needs of the 700 people in Harvest churches, as well as those who come to the church for help. Goal $50k
- Medical Assistance
Help rebuild the 54 Homes of Harvest families whose homes were destroyed. Goal $200K
- 15 Homes in Kathmandu ($5k per home)
- 40 Homes in nearby Regions ($3k per home)
There will continue to be needs that arise as we move forward. Possible Needs:
- Continued Orphan care for the 20 orphans the church cares for and the additional children coming forward for care after the earthquake
- Widows Ministry to come alongside widows who are considered a curse in the Hindu religion.
- Medical Support
Short Term Trips will be available in the coming months. For questions about supporting the churches in Nepal, please contact Laura at
So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. - Galatians 6:10
Harvest Bible Fellowship is committed to guiding church leadership in Nepal through a process of stewardship and accountability. We are sending funds in small amounts, covering each project only as it is ready to move forward. Leadership at Harvest Bible Chapel Nepal is complying with full transparency and is sending regular, real-time reports and pictures of how funds are being utilized.
