Harvest Kids and Awana: Committed to the first decade

Awana is one of Harvest Kids’ midweek discipleship opportunities committed to the first decade of a child’s life. Using the Awana format and curriculum, Harvest Kids creates a fun environment to grow your child’s spiritual walk in their first decade partnering community and Scripture memory.

Children participate in theme nights, games, worship, and small groups. Throughout the year they work through a handbook memorizing Scripture verses and completing activities. Incremental awards encourage progression with the goal of one Awana handbook completion at the end of the year.

Who is Awana For?

There are three age groups called “clubs”. Each Club is tailored for that specific age using best practices in learning styles, attention spans and age-appropriate development.

  • Cubbies (3 years—PreK)
  • Sparks (Grades K–2)
  • T&T (Grades 3–5)

Do you need volunteers?

YES, we do! Awana can be offered only when adults are faithful volunteers giving 2-3 hours a week to benefit the spiritual growth of children. This will be the most rewarding couple of hours that you spend each week. You will grow in your own spiritual walk as you witness firsthand the spiritual growth of the children in our care. No prior experience is necessary and you will be equipped for your role.

Volunteer Opportunities include:
  • Childcare
  • Small Group Leader
  • Game Leader
  • Check-in/Awards Counter
  • Setup/Prep Work

Our volunteer positions require a commitment to serve every week. In appreciation for your service, you will receive a $25 discount for each Clubber that you register within your household.

What does Awana cost?

Awana costs $85 and includes one handbook and all awards.

Uniforms are purchased separately along with extra credit books.

Are scholarships available?

Yes! We are thankful to the people of our church who generously give to our Benevolence Fund providing scholarships for families who need assistance.  Awana is accessible to all children because of their faithful generosity. Please use the button below for scholarship need.
