August 5, 2022 | Elder Update

Harvest Family,

Trusting the Lord and believing that His timing and ways are always for His glory and our good, we wanted to make you aware of an upcoming staff transition.

Roger McCoy, will be stepping down from his role as Lead Operations Pastor. Roger has faithfully served in this role since 2020 and as an Elder. He was the man God used for “such a time as this” on staff at Harvest. Not many would have had the courage to make the hard decisions that he had to make. Not many would have been able to shoulder the concerns, challenges, and complaints that were shared with the leadership of the church, as he did.

For the many ways he served the Lord and this church, we thank God for him. There are so many examples of his time in leadership at Harvest Bible Chapel, that reflect Acts 11:24 ESV, “for he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord.”  We think 1 Timothy 5:17 ESV instructs us rightly that Roger is worth double honor for how he has served as an elder.

As Roger leaves the Harvest staff, we are praying for the Lord to bless him in his future. We are expectant for the Kingdom impact he will have as he moves forward and follows the call that God has placed on his life.

In gratitude to the Lord,
The Elders of Harvest Bible Chapel
