You choose two electives with your child. One for the morning (AM) and one for the afternoon (PM). If they have a friend request, you must register your child for the same elective at the same time (AM or PM) as their friend. Preschool campers are divided into different groups, so please indicate friends in the friend field including siblings (if applicable).
PICK UP / DROP OFF
CAN I PICK UP MY CHILD EARLY?
We apologize, but we do not allow early release or pick-up. Please schedule other camps, lessons, and doctor’s appointments for a different week.
HOW DO I CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT?
Check-in each day starts at 8:30 AM. You will receive details prior to the start of camp. Your child will receive one wristband with their name and AM and PM elective on it. Half-day Preschool camper check-out will be in the Harvest Kids Theater at 12:00 PM. For 2:30 PM check-out, children will line up outside by their last name (signs will be visible). For all check-outs, please bring an I.D. No child will be released without an adult showing an I.D. and their name listed on our approved pick-up list.
CLOTHING
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?
Your child should wear their High Five t-shirt every day, shorts , and comfortable shoes (consider having them wear gym shoes if they have chosen an active elective). Swimsuits should be worn under their clothes. Everything gets dirty, stained, and worn out this week. Please do not send your child in anything you love. This is camp and they play hard.
WHEN DO I PICK UP MY KIDS’ T-SHIRTS?
T-shirt pick-up weekends are June 11-12, June 18-19, and June 25-26 in the Harvest Kids Lobby. T-shirts will also be available for pick-up on Monday morning of High Five. Please label the camper’s shirt with the first name ONLY in a sharpie marker. All campers receive a t-shirt. You must register your child by June 1 to be guaranteed a t-shirt on Monday. If you register after June 1, your child will receive a t-shirt by the end of the week of High Five. Label volunteer shirts with Mr./Mrs./Miss and your name.
I MISSED T-SHIRT PICK-UP WEEKENDS.
No problem. Your t-shirt will be located at High Five Headquarters in the Main Lobby.
WHAT IF MY CHILD LOSES SOMETHING OR NEEDS TO CHANGE THEIR CLOTHES?
This is a normal occurrence at High Five. We have a lost and found table in the Harvest Kids Lobby. However, we strongly suggest you send your child wearing or carrying nothing of value. They get dirty, and many children may need to change. We have custom-built outdoor changing tents that protect privacy, yet allow a child to change their dirty, wet clothes. We recommend that ALL items be labeled.
LUNCH
HOW DOES LUNCH WORK?
Camper lunch is served in one location: Grade School campers will be outside under tents for lunch. There is plenty of water available.
Full-day campers are required to bring their own lunch packed in a disposable bag with their first and last names clearly marked. If your child needs to eat in an allergy-protected area, that information should be noted at registration and check-in.
HOW DO YOU CARE FOR MY CHILD WITH ALLERGIES?
Note your child’s allergies when registering as all allergies are reviewed by our Camp Nurse Team. We provide an allergy-protected lunch area for your child if needed and a green wristband as an alert to all leaders that your child has an allergy. We request that you help us keep High Five free of peanuts when packing your child’s lunch.
MISCELLANEOUS
I NEED TO CONTACT STAFF DURING THE WEEK.
There will be a staffed High Five Headquarters Counter in the Main Lobby, or send an email to Izzy at [email protected].
SHOULD MY CAMPER BRING THEIR PHONE?
No. We suggest that you do not send items of value with your camper., Campers will not be able to have phones while participating in their electives, and items are routinely misplaced or get messy during High Five. You can always reach staff at High Five Headquarters.
