Compassion International and Harvest Bible Chapel
Harvest Bible Chapel is joyfully partnering with Compassion International and a network of 12 churches in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala—an area where our church family has already sponsored more than 950 children through the Send Out focus of the Follow Initiative.
Over the past two years, pastors and volunteer teams from Harvest have traveled to this region to encourage local ministries, support Compassion centers, and strengthen church leaders.
With another short-term trip planned for March 2026, we continue to invest in releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name while coming alongside these faithful pastors with training, care, and long-term partnership.

Short-Term Trip, October 2025
“’For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?’… And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’” Matthew 25:35–37, 40

Get to Know Our Partner Churches
Harvest partners with 12 churches in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. We’d love to introduce you to 10 of the pastors our October 2025 team had the joy of meeting during their time there.
How to Pray for Guatemala
“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.” Colossians 4:2
- Pray for the more than 950 children released from poverty in Jesus’ name through sponsorships from the people of Harvest Bible Chapel.
- Pray for the salvation of these children
- Pray for their health
- Pray for their families
- Pray for God to meet their needs
- Pray for the pastors and wives of the twelve churches we partner with in Guatemala.
- Pray for the people in these churches, especially the children, to come to understand Who Jesus is and put their faith in Him.
- If you are a sponsor, pray for your child.
- Pray for additional children to be sponsored.
- Pray for the advancement of the gospel in these partner churches.
- Pray for the volunteers and staff members who serve the churches and children in Guatemala.
- Pray for the Harvest team heading to Guatemala in March 2026. Pray that God will powerfully use them to encourage the children, families, and churches there.
