FIRST DECADE MINISTRY
Harvest Bible Chapel is committed to your child’s first decade of life through the ministry of Harvest Kids. We believe a healthy child grows into a healthy adult.
At our check-in counter, we meet first-time guests. Here we will connect you with our ministry and explain our safety and security policies.

REGISTRATION AND CONTACT INFORMATION
Most of our ministry opportunities are pre-registration–based, including weekend ministry during our adult worship services. Please do not let that discourage you from attending. We are here to serve you and will do our best to settle you in as soon as possible.
We think and care a lot about safety. When kids are safe, they can relax and learn, and so can their parents! We implement the strictest precautions that provide you with the highest confidence. All volunteers are screened through an interview and a federal background check. Every child in our care is accounted for with our check-in and check-out system. If you would like to serve in Harvest Kids, please reach out to HarvestKids@HarvestBibleChapel.org
During Saturday Night and Sunday Morning ministry, we give children their own church experience using relevant methods taught with a balance of biblical content and application, reverent but fun, obedience-driven but with a true heart change.
We strive to captivate the hearts and imaginations of kids by creatively telling the stories of the greatest book ever written…the Bible. Using discussions, activities, and crafts, we help kids connect and apply God’s Word to their lives.
Classroom environments, materials, and activities have been designed to increase a child’s understanding of theology and a biblical worldview. Our desire is to make God’s Word accessible to each age group.
Children love fun, and when they’re having fun, they can’t wait to come back.
Our weekly check-in process is simple and user-friendly. Each time you check-in, a random security code will be generated and will appear on both your child’s name tag receipt and your parent receipt. Your child will wear the name tag portion and you’ll keep the parent receipt for pick up. If we need you to care for your child during ministry, you will receive a text. Please exit immediately and head to the Harvest Kids’ area.
We believe that each child matters. Since not all children are able to learn in a traditional setting, we would love the opportunity to learn how we can partner with you and your child to help connect them with God’s Word. Contact your Harvest Kid’s team here to begin the conversation.
BEYOND THE WEEKEND
Through mid-week ministry, God is changing children through the power of His Word. Children engage in worship, teaching, games, and memorizing scripture alongside their Harvest Kids community.

We understand children are incredibly blessed and privileged to grow up in families and we want to share with other children throughout Chicagoland. Friends Together for Chicagoland is our best try to partner with other ministries and organizations who are doing such a good work with at-risk, under-resourced, and vulnerable children in the first decade of their lives.
If you participate in social media, please follow @WeAreHarvestKids for encouragement and information. You can also find convenient links to events and opportunities on HarvestNow.info/HarvestKids
We’ve created a weekly resource that provides follow-up devotionals and questions you can do with your child, helping to hit home what they learned. This is available in print for your child and on video for parents and grandparents.
Community and Fun
We believe it’s healthy to have fun making memories together – together with your church, with your community, with your friends, and with your family. There are key opportunities throughout the year to build traditions and relationships so that each family will finish strong. Be on the lookout for our annual Easter Birthday Party, Trunk or Treat, and Come and See.
Kids Day Out
The best question is … “What will you do while your child is at Kids Day Out?” Because Kids Day Out is for parents and caregivers to get a day to yourself to do whatever you wish that helps you refresh and be the best parent you can be to your precious child. They are counting on you to be your best and we want to do our best to help.
Campus Child Care
When volunteers are available, we provide Campus Child Care. This gives parents a time to grow strong in their walk with the Lord in partnership with a safe and fun child care experience.
Throughout the year during the adult Worship Service, we provide sacred moments to publicly commit to providing a Christian home for our children to grow in their Christian faith.
Our epic, unforgettable, high-energy, explosive-fun, kids-talk-about-it-all-year-long, elective-based day camp for kids is one of a kind and runs every summer on all of our campuses.
