FLY!
Ages 4-Entering Kindergarten
Preschoolers get to experience the fullness of High Five with our Preschool FLY program. We will take an exciting adventure each day that will leave campers wanting more! They will explore, create, learn, play, and sing as they learn that it is all about Jesus!
Preschool Campers must be 4 years old before June 1, 2024.
Grade School
Entering Grades 1-5
We’ve selected the best of High Five and combined them so your camper doesn’t miss out on any of the fun. Your camper can choose from the Active Electives, the Creative Electives, or the Standard Electives. They will rotate through each elective in that group throughout the week. They will engage in a different experience each day. Campers are separated into smaller groups by age. Or if they choose the Standard Elective Track they will spend 4 days there engaging in a week-long elective.
Creative Electives: (Campers will rotate through and do each elective, a different one each day)
COOKING 101
Calling all chefs. We will make some amazing snacks that you will love to eat while you are at High Five and want to make again at home.
CRAFTSTARS
You will create with unusual things and maybe even get a little messy! Engage in all types of art projects. Let your inner creative star shine!
DIY- Do It Yourself
Hand tools and a creative mind will be your building blocks to make an incredible project that you will love to use at home.
CRAZY SCIENCE
What happens when you mix this with that? Can you paint with the concoctions that you make? Can you eat your science experiment? We will answer all these questions and so much more.
Active Electives: (Campers will rotate through and do each elective, a different one each day)
WATER WORKS
This elective is full of outside games in the water! We will definitely have FUN IN THE SUN!
NERF MANIA
Let the Nerf darts fly! From dodgeball to target shooting, this elective AIMS to please and will really hit the TARGET for fun!
THE FLOOR IS LAVA
All of the games that you love playing will be BIGGER and BETTER on this day. This day will be epic and have some GIANT fun!
DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME
What goes boom? What makes smoke? Can we make that fly? Will that really shatter? Let’s find out together while we experiment, explore, mix concoctions, and catapult things through the air.
Standard Electives: (Campers stay with their Elective choice all 4 days. Like it’s been before)
DEFENDERS
The amazing Mr. Nelson returns to teach the skill and discipline of martial arts. Break real boards, practice Samurai Sword fighting (with foam swords and helmets), learn how to use nun-chucks, and win a karate trophy on competition day! Defenders is one of our best electives led by one of our best teams.
MILITARY AND JUNGLE GAMES
Explore the Harvest “Jungle” with special missions. It’s hot. It’s crazy. It’s so fun that Military Strategy has been offered for nine years this summer. Soldiers are separated into teams by age and they playfully enjoy challenges, strategies, and games on our beautiful 80-acre campus.
DAUGHTERS OF THE KING
We give girls a sampling of many types of experiences so they can choose what they like and discover who they are in Jesus Christ. This elective spends the majority of the time indoors and there are no mudslides or zip lines involved. It caters to girls who enjoy dancing, singing, crafts, and dressing up.
TREEHOUSE FOR GIRLS
Spend the morning with girls who love to explore the great outdoors! We’ll be frogging in the pond, adventuring in the woods to find materials for our nature art projects, building fairy gardens, and best of all — learning about how God has revealed Himself to us through the wonder of His creation.

PICK UP / DROP OFF
CAN I PICK UP MY CHILD EARLY?
To ensure the safety of all campers, we discourage early pick-up. High Five is from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM. Please schedule other camps, lessons, and appointments outside of camp hours.
HOW DO I DROP OFF MY PRESCHOOL CHILD?
Check in your camper at the registration table on the third floor of the original building (building 1) near the Rock Counter.
HOW DO I DROP OFF MY GRADE SCHOOL CHILD?
Check your camper in each morning in the Worship Center with their Elective Director. They will check your camper’s wristband and yours and we will take them from there.
HOW DO I PICK UP MY PRESCHOOL CAMPER?
Preschool campers will remain in their classroom on the third floor where you dropped them off for pick up. A member of the High Five team will check your wristband or driver’s license and verify you are on the approved pick-up list for that child.
HOW DO I PICK UP MY GRADE SCHOOL CAMPER?
You will pick up your grade school camper in the Worship Center in the same place you dropped them off. The exception will be if your camper is in the Active Elective, on Water Works day they will be in the specified area in the West Lobby that day. Remember the High Five Team member will check your wristband or driver’s license to make sure you are on the approved pick-up list for that child.
CLOTHING/PERSONAL BELONGINGS
HOW DO I GET MY KIDS’ T-SHIRTS?
T-shirt pick-up weekends are June 9 and 16 by HK Resource Board outside the preschool room after each service. If you miss a pick-up, no problem. T-shirts will also be available on the first day of High Five.
WHAT IF MY CHILD LOSES SOMETHING?
This is a normal occurrence at High Five. We have a lost and found table by the Hope Center counter. Please label all items to help us better keep track of each camper’s belongings. We also strongly suggest you send your child in with nothing of value. They get dirty, and their clothes and shoes may never be the same.
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?
Your child should wear their High Five t-shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes. Everything gets dirty, stained, and worn out this week. Please do not send your child in anything you love. This is camp and they play hard.
ALLERGIES
HOW DO YOU CARE FOR MY CHILD WITH ALLERGIES?
Note your child’s allergies when registering. All allergies are reviewed by our camp medical team. Every leader is notified of your child’s allergies and will make sure to prepare any necessary alternate ingredients or activities. Campers with allergies will also have an allergy wristband.
Allergy-friendly snacks will be provided and communicated to all parents prior to the start of camp. Changes and accommodations can be made if needed.
Our camp medical team will be able to support any medical needs, including keeping allergy medications and/or Epi-Pens in a safe area and administering them, if needed.
MISCELLANEOUS
I NEED TO CONTACT STAFF DURING THE WEEK.
Email Pastor Dave at [email protected] or text him at 630-309-3980. He will be checking emails hourly during the week of camp.
What procedures do you have in place to ensure my child is safe at High Five?
We have a member of our medical team on-site at all times to handle medical needs. All adult volunteers have a current background check and complete mandatory training to ensure they comply with safety protocols. Volunteers are never permitted to be alone with a child. Campers use the child-only bathroom, while adult and student volunteers use a separate one. We work very hard to ensure your child will be safe and that you feel comfortable entrusting them to us for the week.
