In the last two weeks, Hurricanes Helene and Milton have caused loss of life and massive damage across many states in our country.  We’re grateful that several of you have asked how our church family can help. Thank you for your heart in alleviating suffering and helping others in the name of Jesus!

We believe there are three possible ways that we can provide meaningful help at this time:

  1. PRAY

We invite you to pray for all who have been impacted by these storms.  Pray for comfort for any who’ve lost loved ones, for strength in this destabilizing time, and for every heart and life to draw closer to the Lord, finding His help and strength, and even for salvation for any who have not yet put their trust in Jesus as their Savior.

  1. GIVE

We have identified two excellent Christ-centered organizations that are currently engaged in significant hurricane relief efforts: Send Relief and Samaritan’s Purse.

You can give a financial gift to help these efforts at both of these links:

As a church, Harvest Bible Chapel is giving $5000 to Send Relief from special offering funds previously given.

  1. GO

If the Lord is prompting you to go and personally help in relief efforts, both Send Relief and Samaritan’s Purse have information on their sites on ways to go and participate!

We can all pray. Many can give. And some will go. Let’s be expectant for how God will answer our prayers as we ask, seek, and knock.
